Position Overview:

LiveVox is looking for a Desktop Support Engineer to provide internal support for employees and contractors.  Candidates should have a good balance of technical and customer service skills, and be passionate about technology and helping people.  Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills are imperative, as is the ability to communicate technical information, both verbal and written, to a wide range of end-users with varied technical skill levels. Works within a team that covers multiple geographies, making use of various communications channels to interact with the team as well as to directly support users. Occasional travel and after-hours work may be required.

Job responsibilities

  • Handle helpdesk escalations through tickets, email, instant message, or phone
  • Follow up on outstanding requests and ensure timely resolution
  • Create accounts and configure hardware as part of on-boarding process
  • Disable accounts and collect hardware and verify software as part of off-boarding process
  • Installation, support and upgrades of desktop hardware, software and peripherals, diagnosing and resolving problems
  • Installation, support and upgrades of LAN equipment and connectivity support such as LAN Ethernet and Wi-Fi
  • Support conference equipment such as audio and video
  • Support general office IT equipment such as printers, scanners, copiers
  • Interact with service providers such as Telecom and Cellular carriers and providers
  • Manage and monitor internal assets to ensure accurate inventory records
  • Process purchase orders and interact with procurement and Accounting staff for PO, shipping & invoice processing
  • Other duties may be added and/or assigned as needed

Preferred Experience:

  • Windows 7, Windows 8, Windows 10, Office 365
  • Active Directory maintenance
  • PC hardware, Printers, scanners, computer peripherals, mobile devices (iOS, Android)
  • Client PC connectivity - Ethernet, Wi-Fi, VPN
  • Mac & Linux experience a plus
